CHERYL MARLOWE

I have always been interested in sports and fitness and attended various fitness classes from a young age in addition to running on a regular basis. I have participated in several sports events/challenges involving running, cycling, swimming and assault courses. I love a challenge!
13 years ago, I developed a chronic back condition that almost made my house bound – having to have assistance putting your socks on in the morning isn’t a good place to be.
After trying various alternative therapies and fed up of popping pain killers, I eventually had an operation to fix the problem. As anyone who’s ever had a back problem knows, once you’ve had a back problem, you feel like that weakness is always there and those ‘twinges’ never really go away.
Then…..I found Pilates and I’ve never looked back. I use my body in a completely different way now, my posture and alignment is great and my core stability, that supports my back, is stronger than ever.
That’s when I realised I wanted to help other people benefit from an exercise programme that regardless of fitness level, ability, aliment or injury would support and encourage better overall body condition.
In 2016, I became qualified as a Mat Pilates Fundamentals Instructor and am continuing my qualification to advanced level specialising in Pre-and Post Natal, Orthopaedic Conditions and Use of specialised equipment
