I hope you had a great Christmas and are now looking forward to a brand New Year. My Christmas was magical sharing it with my loved ones and of course my little grandson. However I know a lot of clients were not as fortunate. I do hope this year is a better year for all of youI have no idea what the future holds for Positive Fitness, as it has been a struggle to keep things going. As much as I value and appreciate support shown by those clients who have either bought my library or attended the studio, I am sure you understand it has not been easyI will do my very best to keep offering the high quality of classes I have prided myself on. But with fewer classes and fewer instructors it has not been easy. I am hoping March will see a return of more clients. Many classes are busy with a waiting list ,but there are others that have been low on numbers. I have to make a decision to take them off the timetable if numbers do not improve, so I would ask you to please support the classesThe studio is safe and cleaned daily. On top of this my instructors are all triple jabbed and I no longer take clients who refuse the vaccine. I have been questioned on my decision but feel it is my prerogative and I stand by It..
I appreciate there is a lot of uncertainty around at the moment and it may mean closing the studio if we have another lockdown. But I have decided to go ahead and open up on Wednesday 5th JanuaryI am hoping clients will be sensible and not attend classes if they show any signs of the virus, but I feel it is imperative to keep our immune system healthy with good eating and plenty of exerciseI have released January dates and if I have to cancel then I will keep you updatedPLEASE NOTE I CAN NO LONGER OFFER CREDIT CLASSES. IN VERY DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES TRANSFER CAN BE OFFERED IF THERE IS A SPACE(Obviously present class credits will be honoured )
Please will you check if you have a credit owed to you and I will book a replacement class in my nameALSO PLEASE NOTE IF A CLASS ONLY HAS A SMALL NUMBER BOOKED IN 48 HOURS PRIOR TO CLASS RUNNING IT WILL NOT RUN
The library can be purchased for £25 and houses over 70 workouts. This can be purchased via gymcatch or by contacting myself .

I want to ensure your safety….With winter around the corner, I am concerned about the future of my studio and my clients health and welfare. It has been a hard 18 Months keeping my business running with limited numbers and a high percentage of clients still unsure about returning.I have followed the guidelines by keeping clients safe with social distancing, good ventilation, cleaning equipment, ensuring that if anyone shows any signs of the virus to stay at home. I am very aware of the next few months and the fear that it may bring further restrictions. More importantly I am aware of the responsibility I have for my clientsNow with the weather getting colder, it is more comfortable to keep the doors and windows shut. However, it is still essential to keep ventilation in the main studio and for that reason , I intend to keep a window or two open even in the cold months aheadA local businessman has made the decision to only allow clients who have been double jabbed into his salon. I have been considering following the same path. I respect people who have not had their vaccination, but from my point of view I need to take into account the safety of my own clientsI am no expert at all on this virus, but I have sought advice from leading surgeons and doctors in the medical field and understand a little more. To be double jabbed will not stop anyone getting the virus, however, If they did contract it, the illness would be less severe. Without the jab, there is a very high risk of very severe illness or even death, especially in the older age groupWhether people have the Vaccine or not, they can still spread the virus. However, for those people who do not have the vaccine there is a higher chance of contracting the virus and spreading it further .All professionals that have close proximity to their clients, including nurses, doctors, hairdressers, beauticians, have a duty of care to look after their clients. As a fitness instructor, I also need to apply this to my clients. I have many clients who are carers or are in a vulnerable positionI have, therefore, made the decision to implement , with immediate effect, the following measures1. All clients must be double jabbed before they enter the studio. I would like some form of confirmation they have been vaccinated.2. I am asking clients to revert to waiting outside or in their cars, until their class start when the instructor will let them in. Please no waiting in reception..no more than two. If you wish to wear a mask, please do so ..entirely up to you. I would advise not to during exercise3. Please will you ensure you leave via the exit door4 . Please continue to sanitise equipment after useI know this will upset some clients and they may decide leave. I respect their decision and hope they respect mine.I appreciate some have not have the vaccine due to medical reasons, although I have been advised this is very rare. For that reason, I would not exclude themWith many of my clients either in their 50/60/70/80 plus age group or who are carers, I need to put them first as well as my business. I cannot afford to close my studio down again This virus is going no where but I need to put in the right safety measuresCLASS BOOKINGS
I have had to make decisions regarding some classes . It is good to see clients book once again after not attending the studio for the last two years, however, I cannot continue to run classes with two or less in a class Therefore I would kindly ask clients to please book their class at least 48 hours prior to class taking place This will give me time to give plenty of notice to the instructors and the 2 clients who had booked in if I have to cancelMONDAY EVENING PILATESI am now running a beginners Pilates at 5.pm which is currently full This is an eight week course and will continue on going at this levelThe class that follows is currently at 6.45pm . I have decided to split it into two more sessions to ensure clients are comfortable with less in the class. So as from Monday 11th October I will be running the following classesMonday 5pm beginners Pilates6pm Pilates7pm PilatesI would ask You to cancel your classes if you have booked from 11th Monday and re book to the time that suits youApologies for these changes but I need to make sure you are all confident . I am doing my best to make the studio a safe environment to work out in and meet friends. I also need to keep my business solvent as I do not want to have to shut it down. I am aware with winter approaching the virus is more active and people are more at risk of catching it and therefore I have to do what I feel is morally rightIf we all pull together and stick to these guidelines, I have been advised there is a very slim chance of anyone catching coronavirus from my studioPlease respect my decisionthank youSally
As the winter months approach….

A Positive Way Forward and
Mad March Challenge
The weather is changing and we are all feeling more positive. It has been a long hard period, but hopefully we can get back to a more normal life soon
Many of you have lost loved ones and I know too well of the pain. Life is so short and precious and we need to embrace it.
Physical health is so important for our mental health and I have been amazed at messages I have received from present clients, plus those who don’t know me, who have been doing my on line fitness challenges. The feeling that I am helping people cope with this madness is very rewarding
I am thinking of a new challenge for March to raise money for mental health. I’m thinking of a JustGiving site set up and clients can make a donation to take part in the challenge.
I am considering the following
31st March I will have been teaching 38 years (big party planned for 2023). If we can do a zoom on that day and we are looking at 38 reps that would be amazing
I’m thinking just ten different exercises each week for four weeks (total of 24 exercises). I will devise a programme for each day/week. (We won’t be starting at one😂 )For those on Facebook we could do this one day a week, so it’s upto you to practice daily. Every other day of each week the number of reps would double ,culminating in 38 on 31st March
If you are not on Facebook I could send you a video of all the exercises with an invite for zoom 31.3.21. The link and invite will only be sent out when a payment to just giving has been made. Who is up for this?
Studio opens week commencing Monday 17th May (positive thoughts)
Yes…all being well, I shall be opening the doors to the studio week commencing Monday 17th May
At this moment in time I do not know what restrictions will be, but I do intend to keep numbers at a more monitored level, with no more drop ins. Client have to book and pay up front and classes can be booked for the month
As a result of the pandemic and being forced to close, I am aware that some clients have class credits. It may be easier to reimburse as there are so many I have a record here of credits owed but please can you check again what you are owed and I will reimburse
On line and Recorded Library
The on line and pre recorded library has been really well received and I am so grateful for all the support from clients. It really has been a huge support to my business
I have gained new clients who will still continue to use the library. With over 50 workouts including Pilates Stretch Hiit Yoga Gentle Fitness Dancefit Body Tone Fab Abs and Aerobics, there really is something for everyone. I am pleased to say this library will continue to be available even after lockdown. The cost Is £25 per month
For clients who attend classes at the studio, there will be a package available to include the recorded library depending on attendance
I am thrilled to tell you that
Becky and Amy (Caci) are pleased to welcome clients back from week commencing Monday 12th April. They can be contacted on 07854 821505 (Amy) and 07481 147688 (Becky)
